The Create a Job page is essentially the most important page on the entire site. Around 70-80% of the data that is for report/ pages derived from the Create a Job page.
We designed Create a Job page to be utilized for various different aspects of an order. Besides being a repository or central location for the full information, it can also be utilized as a job bookmarker for scheduling specific orders, where to order product, upload/download files, shipping information such as tracking, miscellaneous information, for example product information and type, even gather cost.
To key in a job you need 4 essential information:
a. Customer, Broker or Vendor Information
b. PO Number and Job Name
c. Job Due Date
d. Job Type
From there, anything you put is extra information for data entry such as quantity, location, colors etc.
Invoice: This field can be used to cross-reference to an Invoice Number you have using your accounting system.
Artwork Due Date: This field can be used as the independent due date for the art dept or graphic artist. We know that the Due date is usually the In-Hands or Completion date of the job. It’s helpful to have Due date on the artwork to make sure you on track for the Job Due Date.
Reorder: This checkbox can be used when checked to mark an order as a Reorder Order. It will create a Blue Highlight in the List Pages and other pages where the job is viewed. It will also mark the word “Reorder” on the PDF print out.
Rush Order: This checkbox can be used when checked to mark an order as a Rush Order. It will create a Red Highlight in the List Pages and other pages where the job is viewed. It will also mark the word “Rush” on the PDF print out.
